Emmie’s Journey: Uveitis

written by Emerson Boutte

“Hi, my name is Emerson Boutte. I’m 7 years old and I have uveitis. I see Dr. Vivis for my eye. My eye got inyected 3 times. I went to Baustin once to see Dr. Foster. He is very nice and it was beautiful up there. I want to go back some day but the flight is very long. A little girl threw up on me, but anyway… I was happy to be back home with my family since I’ve been going through a lot. It’s been a while since I’ve seen Dr. Foster but now I’m on this new medicine called roomacade. I tried it and it worked, no side effects yet. We’re still watching it. It’s supposed to help my eye and my joints. It is a shot. My joints have been hurting. My mom told me I’m going to be hurting a lit, and she is not wrong, she’s right.

I hope this medicine words. It is summer and it’s almost time for school to start again, but before that, I get to go see the Jonas Brothers. I hope I have fun at the concert. The end.”
